Grant County, Administrative county in northern Kentucky, United States

Grant County extends across 261 square miles of terrain in the Cincinnati metropolitan area, featuring a mix of suburban communities and rural landscapes.

The county was established on February 12, 1820, named after Colonel John Grant who created Grant's Station settlement in 1779 in Bourbon County.

The county maintains six educational institutions, from elementary schools to Grant County High School, serving the educational needs of local residents.

The county seat of Williamstown provides administrative services and houses the judicial center, completed in 2010, for all county operations.

In 1975, multiple residents of Grant County reported observations of unidentified flying objects near Williamstown Lake, creating local discussion.
