Forest Park

Forest Park extends across 1,300 acres of land with forests, lakes, streams, and nature reserves in the western section of St. Louis.

The park opened on June 24, 1876, and later became the site of the 1904 Louisiana Purchase Exposition, which transformed its landscape with new features.

The park contains five major institutions: Missouri History Museum, the Muny, Saint Louis Art Museum, Saint Louis Science Center, and Saint Louis Zoo.

Visitors can access an interactive map and calendar to plan their activities, including walking paths, recreational areas, and cultural venues throughout the grounds.

Forest Park surpasses Central Park in size and welcomes more than 13 million annual visitors, making it one of the largest and most visited urban parks.
