Forest Park

Forest Park is a large green space in the western section of St. Louis featuring forests, lakes, and streams that support various outdoor activities. The grounds include walking paths, picnic areas, and natural zones throughout its expanse.

The park opened in 1876 and later served as the site of the 1904 World's Fair, an event that left lasting changes to its landscape and structures. This international exposition brought new buildings and features that remained part of the grounds afterward.

The park is home to several major institutions including the Missouri History Museum and the Saint Louis Zoo, which visitors can explore at no cost. These places shape the city's cultural life and invite people of all ages to spend time in the green space.
