Queeny Tower, Medical tower in St Louis, Missouri, US.
Queeny Tower was a medical building located on the Washington University School of Medicine campus in St. Louis, Missouri. The structure rose 321 feet (98 meters) and held a distinctive position in the city skyline.
The building opened in 1965 and was named after John Francis Queeny, founder of the Monsanto Company. After decades of operation, it closed in 2019 and was demolished in 2021 to make room for a new medical facility.
The structure represented a major advancement in medical facilities, ranking as the third tallest medical building in the Western Hemisphere.
The building no longer stands and cannot be visited today. The site has been cleared, so only historical knowledge of the location is now possible.
The structure ranked as the second tallest building outside downtown St. Louis, surpassed only by Park East Tower. This made it a notable landmark in the city's broader skyline beyond the central district.
