Delano

Delano is a city located in Kern County in California's Central Valley. The town spreads across flat terrain surrounded by farmland, with streets that form a regular grid through residential and commercial areas.

The town was founded in 1869 and named after Columbus Delano, who was serving as Secretary of the Interior at that time. It grew from a railroad stop into a center for agricultural production in the region.
