The 731 Lexington Avenue building reaches 245.7 meters in height with 55 floors, featuring a glass curtain wall facade across its entire structure.

Construction began in 2001 after demolishing the Alexander's department store, and the building officially opened in 2004 as the headquarters of Bloomberg L.P.

Architect César Pelli designed the structure with a seven-story atrium and an elliptical courtyard that connects 58th and 59th Streets through the building.

The building contains 105 luxury residences, offices for 4,000 Bloomberg employees, and retail spaces including The Home Depot and The Container Store.

The tower incorporates transparent workplaces within its atrium, featuring television studios and multiple gathering spaces framed by extensive glass exteriors.
