425 Park Avenue, Office skyscraper in Midtown Manhattan, United States
425 Park Avenue stretches 262 meters into the Manhattan skyline with 42 floors of glass-clad surfaces and geometric architectural elements.
The construction marked a milestone as the first full-block development on Park Avenue in half a century, replacing a 1957 structure.
The building incorporates two floors dedicated to a restaurant by chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten, maintaining Manhattan's reputation for fine dining.
The structure contains 670,000 square feet of office space, 52 parking spaces, and direct access to multiple subway lines near Grand Central Station.
Norman Foster's design retained 25 percent of the original building's structure while creating modern, column-free spaces with triple-height ceilings.
