Liberty

Liberty is the county seat of Clay County in Missouri, situated in the Kansas City metropolitan area. The city features residential neighborhoods alongside historic commercial streets centered around Courthouse Square, which serves as the administrative and cultural heart.

The city was established in 1822 and named after Henry Clay, a prominent congressman who later became Secretary of State. This founding positioned it as an important administrative center for the Missouri region.
