Located along the Susquehanna River, Selinsgrove spans 1.9 square miles and serves as the largest community in Snyder County, Pennsylvania.

Captain Anthony Selin established this settlement in 1787, following the Penns Creek Massacre of 1755 during early colonial conflicts with Native Americans.

Susquehanna University shapes the educational landscape of Selinsgrove, contributing to the intellectual development of students and the local community.

The borough office at One North High Street handles municipal services, zoning permits, and administrative matters Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.

Two churches, Sharon Lutheran and All Saints Episcopal, function as essential polling locations for local elections and community gatherings.
