Tren Urbano, Rapid transit system in San Juan, Puerto Rico
Tren Urbano is a rapid transit system connecting San Juan, Guaynabo, and Bayamón through elevated tracks and underground tunnels across the metro area. The network includes 16 stations serving commuters throughout this corridor.
The system opened in 2004 as the first rapid transit network in the Caribbean region. It represented a major shift toward modern public transportation in Puerto Rico.
