Whitlocks Mill Light is a 7.6 meter (25 foot) brick tower with a white exterior standing on the south bank of the St. Croix River near Calais. The structure features an automated green navigation light and continues to operate as an active aid to shipping traffic.
The site began in 1892 as a simple red lantern before becoming a permanent brick structure with keeper's quarters built between 1907 and 1909. This project represented the final lighthouse construction in Maine's history.
