The 28-acre Riverbank State Park extends from 137th to 145th Street, standing 69 feet above the Hudson River in Upper Manhattan.
The park opened in 1993 and received its current name, Denny Farrell Riverbank State Park, in 2017 to honor the local Assembly member.
The park's design incorporates Japanese rooftop architectural elements and features a cultural theater for community performances and events.
Visitors can access multiple facilities including an Olympic-size pool, skating rink, tennis courts, and athletic complex from 6 AM to 11 PM daily.
This recreational facility operates on top of the North River Wastewater Treatment Plant, which processes 125 million gallons of wastewater each day.
