Remnant Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints

The Remnant Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is a religious center in Independence, Missouri, housed in a renovated 1918 school building. The facility operates near the Temple Lot and serves as the organization's administrative headquarters.

The community formed in April 2000 from discussions among independent Restoration Branches seeking to return to traditional Mormon doctrine and practice. This separation reflected the group's desire to distinguish itself from other Latter-Day Saint organizations.

The community follows three sacred texts: the Inspired Version of the Bible, the Book of Mormon, and the Doctrine and Covenants with additional revelations. These writings shape how members understand their faith and practice their beliefs today.

The current Presiding Bishop W. Kevin Romer holds the title of Aaronic High Priest through his direct lineage from the biblical Aaron. This connection to ancient history gives his leadership position a special meaning within the community.
