Temple Lot is a plot at the meeting of two main streets in Independence, Missouri, where an unfinished religious construction stands. The building site shows exposed foundations and stone structures that have remained unchanged for over a century.

The plot was chosen in the early 1830s for a planned temple, but construction halted after initial work began. Different religious groups have since claimed ownership of this location, which became a symbol of unfulfilled expectations.
