AF and AM Lodge 687

AF and AM Lodge 687 is a three-story structure in Italianate style featuring decorative cornices and arched windows along West High Street. The building displays characteristic 19th century architectural details with ornamental elements throughout its facade.

The building was constructed in 1876 and underwent significant modifications in 1903 with the addition of a rear wing. It has been preserved by the community and is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The building serves as a gathering place for fraternal organizations and hosts community events including theatrical performances. It functions as a social hub where local groups come together regularly for meetings and cultural activities.

The building sits about two miles from the Illinois-Wisconsin border and is easily accessible to visitors. A comprehensive restoration has maintained the structure in good condition for public access.
