Jane Addams Burial Site is a memorial featuring a restored obelisk monument and a rectangular tombstone within the Addams family plot at Cedarville Cemetery. The grounds are located in Freeport, Illinois, and are maintained as a historic burial location.

Jane Addams passed away in 1935 and rejected burial at the National Cathedral. She instead chose this family cemetery plot beside her father John Hay Addams in her hometown.

The tombstone carries inscriptions highlighting her work at Hull House and the Women's International League for Peace and Freedom, deliberately omitting her Nobel Prize. This choice reflects what she herself valued most about her legacy.

The burial site is accessible from 1413 W Red Oak Road in Freeport. Visitors may want to gather information beforehand to locate the correct family plot within the larger cemetery grounds.

Following her death, thousands gathered at Hull House courtyard for her funeral before her body traveled by train to her hometown. This large farewell ceremony showed the deep public impact of her work in the community.
