Blackhawk Farms Raceway, South Beloit, Illinois, USA
Blackhawk Farms Raceway is a motorsport track near South Beloit, Illinois, spanning roughly two miles with seven curves on a large property. The facility hosts various racing events for amateur and professional drivers, including autocross, driver schools, and wheel-to-wheel competition from sports car clubs and motorcycle organizations.
The track was built in 1967 by designer Jerry Dunbar and operated by Tito and Marcia Nappi for nearly two decades. Paul Musschoot purchased the facility in 2007 and implemented significant upgrades including a new tech barn, improved facilities, and enhanced drainage systems.
As a private circuit, the facility does not open for casual visits during weekdays but hosts racing events and weekend programs throughout the year. Visitors should bring approved helmets, check ahead for upcoming events, and arrive early to enjoy the full experience and secure good spectating positions.
The facility offers a free online guide through a partnership with Blayze that teaches how to walk the track with professional drivers to learn optimal racing lines. This resource helps new drivers understand the best approach before taking their own vehicles onto the circuit.
