The site originally functioned as farmland for residents of the Willard Asylum for the Chronic Insane in earlier times. It was later transformed into a public golf course open to visitors today.

The course preserves remnants of its farming roots through scattered apple and pear trees that once belonged to an orchard on this land.

The facility operates from April through November and caters to players of varying skill levels through its flexible layout options. Weekend play carries higher green fees compared to weekdays, so plan your visit timing accordingly.
