Burdette Park

Burdette Park is a recreational area spanning about 180 acres with natural woodland, hills, and facilities for visitors. The grounds include an aquatic center, trails, sports courts, camping sites, and sheltered structures for gatherings.

The park was founded in 1936 when a local veterans group developed the land for public recreation. This initiative turned an initial purchase into a multi-purpose community space that has served generations.

The park bears the name of a local soldier from the early 20th century whose memory remains woven into the community's identity. Visitors notice how residents continue to value this connection through their regular use of the grounds.
