Byers Station Historic District
Byers Station Historic District, Railroad historic district in Upper Uwchlan Township, Pennsylvania.
The district encompasses 26 buildings across 35 acres, featuring residences, a factory, and a Masonic lodge at the junction of Byers and Eagle Farm Roads.
Established in 1871 around the Byers railroad station, the community expanded after the discovery of plumbago deposits in the region during 1875.
The architectural collection includes numerous buildings designed by B.H. Downing, displaying Greek Revival and Renaissance Revival styles common in 19th-century American construction.
The district maintains its original street layout and building configurations, allowing visitors to explore the historical structures through self-guided walking tours.
The former Byers Hotel, constructed in 1874, stands as one of the main structures within this National Register of Historic Places district.
