Byers Station Historic District

This historic district in Pennsylvania contains about 26 buildings spread across 35 acres of land. The collection includes homes, a former factory, and other structures arranged along the original roads and pathways.

The community grew around a railroad station that opened in 1871 and became its central hub. The discovery of graphite deposits in the region further boosted growth and economic activity.

The buildings display 19th-century style features with Greek and Renaissance elements that reflect design choices of the era. Many were designed by a local architect whose work shaped how the community looks today.

The area is best explored on foot through self-guided walking paths that connect the buildings. This approach allows you to observe the details and character of each structure at your own pace.
