Cambria Heights

Cambria Heights is a residential neighborhood in southeastern Queens featuring single-family homes with front lawns and gardens along tree-lined streets. The area has a suburban character with well-maintained properties and sits near the Nassau County border.

The neighborhood began in the 1920s when the Cambria Title Savings and Trust Company transformed farmland into a residential development. This project marked one of the early suburban expansions in Queens.

The neighborhood has a strong African American and Caribbean community presence that shaped its identity over generations. You can see this reflected in local shops, eateries, and gathering places that define daily life here.

Several bus routes including Q4, Q27, Q77, Q83, and Q84 connect the neighborhood to other areas of New York City. The warmer months are ideal for exploring the tree-lined streets and residential character of the area.

The area contains the Ohel, a burial site of Rabbi Menachem Schneerson, which draws visitors throughout the year. This location holds spiritual importance for many people and attracts pilgrims from various parts of the world.
