Cedar Creek Lake, reservoir in Central Kentucky
Cedar Creek Lake is a reservoir in Lincoln County, Kentucky, created in 2002 and covering about 792 acres of water. The lake reaches depths of up to 60 feet (18 meters) and is surrounded by a 300-foot (91-meter) buffer zone that provides anglers with access to the entire shoreline.
The lake was created in 2002 as a recent addition to Kentucky's water bodies. Since its construction, it has quickly become a popular fishing destination for anglers in the region.
The lake takes its name from Cedar Creek, the waterway that feeds it. Visitors can observe the local fishing culture that thrives here, with people gathering along the shoreline throughout the year.
The lake has three boat launch ramps and a fishing pier for visitors wanting to fish from shore. Accessible entry points are available, and both small portable boats and larger trailer boats are accommodated.
The lake bed is filled with submerged trees and aquatic plants that provide habitat for fish but make shoreline fishing more challenging. These natural features make angling here both rewarding and tricky for visitors.
