Church of St. Bridget-Catholic
Church of St. Bridget-Catholic, Gothic Revival Catholic church in De Graff, United States.
The Church of St. Bridget features red brick walls with Kasota limestone trim and includes a three-and-a-half story bell tower measuring 115 feet in length.
The parish establishment in 1876 formed part of Archbishop John Ireland's broader initiative to create Catholic settlements throughout western Minnesota during the late nineteenth century.
The interior of the church contains exposed wooden beams, large murals depicting the Stations of the Cross, and an oak Gothic Revival altar crafted with detailed workmanship.
Located at 501 3rd Street South in De Graff, Minnesota, the church maintains regular service schedules and continues to function as an active Catholic place of worship.
The granite foundation of the church originated from St. Cloud quarries, while architect Edward J. Donahue incorporated specific design elements that earned National Register status.
