Lac qui Parle State Park, Nature reserve in Watson, Minnesota, US

The Lac qui Parle State Park extends across Chippewa and Lac qui Parle Counties, offering six miles of trails along the river and lake shores.

Established in 1959, this area holds a French name meaning 'lake that speaks', given by early fur traders who encountered Dakota communities in the region.

The park maintains interpretive programs throughout the year, educating visitors about local wildlife, Native American heritage, and natural resources management.

The park features 83 campsites with electric hookups, hot showers, flush toilets, and boat access points for fishing walleye and northern pike.

During migration seasons, thousands of geese gather at the lake, creating large congregations that attract wildlife photographers and bird enthusiasts.
