Concert Hall, Music venue in Boston, United States
The Concert Hall stands as a three-story brick building with thirty windows at the intersection of Hanover Street and Queen Street in Boston.
Stephen Deblois constructed the Concert Hall in 1752, which operated as a performance space until its demolition in 1869 to accommodate street expansion.
The venue presented concerts featuring works by Bach and Handel, while also serving as a gathering place for Freemasons from the 1750s until 1818.
The Concert Hall accommodated multiple functions, including musical performances, formal dinners, dancing classes, subscription balls, and important civic meetings.
Architect Charles Bulfinch renovated the Concert Hall in 1787, enhancing its interior and increasing its capacity, with the property valued at 3,000 dollars.
