Customs House Museum and Cultural Center

The museum building features high pitched roofs, corner eagles sculptures, steep gabled windows, and detailed terra cotta decorations throughout the exterior walls.

Constructed in 1898 by Charles A. Moses from Chicago, the Federal Post Office and Custom House managed international mail for Clarksville's tobacco trade.

Tennessee's second largest general museum presents permanent historical exhibitions, rotating fine art displays, and an interactive children's section called Explorers Landing.

The museum at 200 South Second Street opens Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Sunday from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

The building combines multiple architectural elements from Stick, Queen Anne, Italianate, Romanesque, Flemish, and Gothic styles in one structure.
