Dow Event Center

The Dow Event Center is a multifunctional venue in Saginaw comprising Heritage Theater, Unity Hall for meetings and conferences, and Wendler Arena with seating for approximately 7,600 people. These spaces can be adapted and configured for a wide range of events and performances.

The facility first opened in 1972 as Saginaw Civic Center and received its current name in 2004 when The Dow Chemical Company secured naming rights. This change reflected a strengthened partnership between the company and the local community.

The Heritage Theater regularly hosts Broadway productions, concerts, and comedy shows that draw audiences from across the region. The Wendler Arena serves as home to the Saginaw Spirit hockey team, making the venue central to local entertainment and community gathering.

The venue provides 14 accessible spaces and multiple lobbies that can be transformed into additional event areas. Visitors should know that some seating sections and facilities require stair access.

The Heritage Theater features a grand staircase and ornate chandelier that add classical character to the space. These architectural details create a sense of occasion that makes attending shows feel like a special experience.
