The Eugene O'Neill Theater Center is a theater and historic district in Waterford, United States. Several performance spaces occupy the grounds, some indoors and others open-air, facing Long Island Sound.
The center occupies the former Walnut Grove Farm, an estate dating to the 19th century. The site received listing on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005.
The National Theater Institute at the center provides semester-long training programs for undergraduate students pursuing careers in theater arts and performance.
The center opens during the season for productions, workshops, and conferences. Multiple halls accommodate more than 1000 visitors.
The National Theater Institute offers semester-long programs for undergraduates from across the country here. The complex received the Regional Theatre Tony Award in 2010.
