The Farmington Civic Theatre is a movie theater in Farmington, Michigan with two screening rooms. The main floor seats 273 people, while the upper theater holds 132 people in stadium-style seating.
The theater opened in 1940 on land that previously held a supermarket. Edward Hohler managed the venue until 1973, when his son Gregory took over operations.
Since September 2021, the Farmington Civic Theatre presents first-run movies, replacing its previous focus on intermediate and second-run film screenings.
The theater is located near Grand River Avenue with convenient parking access. A concession stand inside offers snacks and drinks for visitors during their visit.
The theater switched from traditional 35mm projectors to digital projection in 2013. This upgrade also brought Dolby Surround 7.1 sound technology for a better audio experience.
