Northville Historic District
Northville Historic District, Heritage district in Northville, Michigan, United States.
The historic district spans over 2.2 square miles, featuring Victorian-era buildings, tree-lined streets, brick pavers, and traditional streetlamps throughout its boundaries.
Designated as a Michigan State Historic Site in 1970 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1972, the district contains 73 contributing structures.
The district preserves numerous architectural styles including Greek Revival, Gothic Revival, and Queen Anne designs in both residential and commercial buildings.
Located 30 miles northwest of Detroit, the district offers access through major routes including M-14, I-96, and I-275, with Detroit Metropolitan Airport 17 miles south.
Mill Race Village, established in 1972, houses relocated historical buildings including the Cady Inn from 1835, which served as an Underground Railroad station.
