John and Eliza Barr Patterson House

The John and Eliza Barr Patterson House features a symmetrical facade with a center entrance, twelve-over-twelve windows, and clapboard siding over a stone foundation.

Built in 1844, the house remained in the Patterson family until 1999, starting with John Patterson who purchased the land and constructed the residence with his second wife Eliza.

The interior maintains original elements from 1844, including door hardware and a preserved bedroom with period stenciled border along the top wall.

Located at 6205 North Ridge Road, the house spans 3,639 square feet across 1.46 acres, containing four bedrooms and four bathrooms with modern updates.

The basement displays hand-hewn wooden beams from the original construction, demonstrating nineteenth-century building techniques still visible to modern observers.
