The museum opened its doors in 1998, preserving the legacy of firefighting through exhibits of antique engines, equipment, and artifacts from different periods.
Exhibits showcase the evolution of firefighting methods through displays of hand-drawn, horse-drawn, and motorized vehicles that served Michigan communities.
The museum welcomes visitors Thursday through Sunday between 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM, with admission at $10 for adults and $5 for children aged 5-11.
The facility maintains the largest collection of fire truck bells in the United States, which visitors can ring using wooden mallets.
