Superior Dam, Hydroelectric dam in Washtenaw County, Michigan, US.

The Superior Dam extends 496 feet across the Huron River, with a structural height of 35 feet and a surface area of 103 acres.

Detroit Edison Company built the Superior Dam in 1919 for hydroelectric power generation, and the City of Ann Arbor acquired it in 1963 after its decommissioning.

The surrounding natural area functions as a gathering place for local fishing enthusiasts who catch bass, catfish, and northern pike in the waters.

The dam maintains a maximum discharge capacity of 17,200 cubic feet per second and generates hydroelectric power with a storage capacity of 2,803 acre-feet.

The Border-to-Border Trail passes near Superior Dam, providing access points for outdoor activities along its 35-mile stretch across multiple townships.
