Amir Timur Museum, History museum in Yunusabad district, Uzbekistan
The State Museum of Timurid History occupies a three-story circular building with a dome designed in eastern architectural traditions at Tashkent center.
The museum opened in 1996 to commemorate the 660th anniversary of Amir Timur, presenting artifacts from the Timurid dynasty period of Central Asia.
The exhibition halls contain over 3,000 items including medieval jewelry, costumes, musical instruments, and an original copy of the Uthman Quran.
The museum building stands 31 meters tall with a 70-meter external diameter and welcomes more than 100,000 visitors annually.
The central hall features an 8.5-meter crystal chandelier decorated with 106,000 precious stones and walls covered in gold leaf murals.
