The Art Gallery of Uzbekistan displays a collection of modern and contemporary artworks across multiple exhibition spaces within its modern architectural structure.
Founded in 2004 under the direction of President Islam Karimov, the gallery established itself as the first major contemporary art institution in independent Uzbekistan.
The gallery exhibits paintings, sculptures, ceramics, and textiles that represent both traditional Uzbek artistic methods and contemporary creative expressions.
Located in central Tashkent, the gallery welcomes visitors from Tuesday through Saturday between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM with guided tours available.
The museum contains specialized sections dedicated to the evolution of Central Asian art movements from the 20th century to present day.
