Tashkent City Park, Urban park in Shaykhontohur district, Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
Tashkent City Park is an urban park in the Shaykhontohur district with landscaped gardens, walking paths, and an artificial lake with musical fountains. The layout combines open green spaces with water features and creates areas for strolling and gathering.
The park opened in 2019 on the grounds where the former Olmazor and Ukchi neighborhoods once stood. During development, the historic Orifjonboy mosque and the Eshonzodas dynasty tomb were preserved and integrated into the new space.
The park was developed with public participation through seminars where residents shared ideas for its design. This approach represented a new direction in how the city involved people in planning urban spaces.
The park is accessible through several metro stations including Pakhtakor, Friendship of Nations, Alisher Navoi, and Uzbekistan. Free entry means you can visit without any cost and explore at your own pace.
The park contains over 4,500 imported trees from Italian plant nurseries, including magnolia, black pine, and various maple species. This extensive collection gives the space an unexpected plant diversity from outside the region.
