Tân An

Tân An is a provincial city in the Mekong Delta region, spread across flat land and divided into several urban wards and rural communes. Multiple waterways structure the city and shape how people move through and use the space.

The city was founded in 1889 by French administrators when they divided a larger province and made this place the new administrative center. This decision shaped its role as a government hub that continues to this day.
