Christ of Vung Tau

The statue stands 32 meters tall with outstretched arms spanning 18.3 meters, positioned at an elevation of 170 meters above sea level.

Construction of this monumental structure began in 1974 and reached completion in December 1995, marking a significant period in Vietnamese religious architecture.

The statue represents a central gathering point for Vietnamese Christians, who regularly participate in religious ceremonies and celebrations throughout the year.

Visitors need to climb 1,000 stairs to reach the base and can access internal staircases leading to viewing platforms in the shoulders and arms.

The interior of the statue contains 133 steps and features spaces where people can stand within the structure's arms to observe panoramic views.
