Điện Bàn

Điện Bàn is a rural district in Quảng Nam province with a mixed landscape of rice paddies, residential neighborhoods, and manufacturing zones. The area includes several traditional craft villages alongside agricultural and industrial activities that shape the local economy.

During the Nguyen Dynasty period, the district served as an administrative hub, evidenced by the citadel built in Vĩnh Điện. This fortress represents the region's role as a controlled territory under royal authority.

Metalwork craftsmanship defines daily life here, particularly in Phuoc Kieu village where artisans continue casting bronze using techniques passed down through generations. Visitors walking through the village notice small workshops where this craft remains actively practiced today.

The district sits roughly 12 kilometers northwest of Hoi An and about 20 kilometers south of Da Nang, connected by National Highway 1A. Exploring the area works best with local transportation, as traditional villages and beaches are scattered across the landscape.

Ha My Beach within the district is a long stretch of sand that draws visitors seeking a coastal escape outside the crowded tourist zones. The beach gained attention through international media coverage, making it known beyond the region.
