Lofotr Viking Museum, Historical museum in Borg, Norway.
The Lofotr Viking Museum features a reconstructed longhouse measuring 83 meters in length, displaying life during the Viking Age through exhibits and activities.
Archaeological excavations in 1983 revealed the foundations of a Viking chieftain settlement at Borg, established around 500 AD and occupied until 950 AD.
The museum presents Norse traditions through crafts demonstrations, storytelling sessions, and opportunities to experience traditional Viking ship sailing during summer months.
The museum opens daily from 10:00 to 19:00, offering guided tours, smartphone audio guides, and a cafeteria serving food inspired by Viking-age ingredients.
Visitors can explore the largest discovered Viking-era building in Norway, complete with a blacksmith forge and two reconstructed Viking ships.
