Hestskjær Lighthouse, Coastal lighthouse in Langøy, Norway
The cylindrical concrete structure rises 21 meters above sea level, featuring a white exterior with a red lantern at its summit in Averøy Municipality.
Established in 1879 with a square tower design, the lighthouse received its current round form and underwent automation modifications in 1986.
The Norwegian Coastal Administration maintains this navigational beacon, which earned heritage site status from Riksantikvaren in 2017.
The lighthouse produces alternating white, red, and green signals every eight seconds, reaching vessels up to 15 nautical miles from the coast.
Near this lighthouse, two vessels, SS Irma and SS Henry, sank during World War II on February 13, 1944.
