Jørstadmoen leir, Military base and heritage site in Lillehammer Municipality, Norway.

Jørstadmoen is a military base and heritage site in Lillehammer Municipality that serves as the headquarters for Norway's Cyber Defense. The grounds contain modern training facilities, administrative buildings, and historical structures from different periods.

The site began in the 1700s as a training ground for the Oplandske Dragonregiment and became a permanent military establishment in 1821. During World War II, the base underwent major expansion and served multiple military functions.

The preserved radio station from 1955 and the depot building from 1893 show different periods of Norwegian military architecture and technological change. These structures reflect how the site's purpose evolved across the decades.

The base is located about 8 kilometers from Lillehammer city center and is accessible by car or public transport. Keep in mind that access may be limited due to active military use, so it is wise to check in advance.

During World War II, the site held one of Norway's four main camps for Soviet prisoners of war, with 954 individuals buried at the war cemetery. This historical aspect makes the location a place of remembrance for a tragic chapter in European history.
