Cavite State University, Public university in Indang, Philippines
Cavite State University is a public institution in Indang with a main campus spanning 70 hectares situated southwest of Manila. The university operates twelve additional satellite campuses distributed throughout Cavite province.
The institution began in 1906 as Indang Intermediate School, founded by American Thomasite teachers. It underwent multiple transformations over the decades before becoming a university in 1998.
The Laya at Diwa Monument at the campus entrance displays brass figures representing knowledge and peace as core values. This sculpture serves as a focal point where students and visitors gather to reflect on the institution's mission.
The campus grounds are accessible and feature clear pathways connecting the academic buildings and facilities. It remains an active educational space with constant daily activity, so visiting during quieter hours provides a better experience.
The institution houses the National Coffee Research, Development and Extension Center, which works on strengthening Philippine coffee farming and export capabilities. This research hub plays a significant role in supporting agricultural development across the country.
