Broadway Centrum, Television studio complex in New Manila, Quezon City, Philippines.
Broadway Centrum is a broadcasting complex located at the intersection of Aurora Boulevard and Broadway Avenue in Quezon City, consisting of two theater facilities on the east and west sides. The structure was designed as a modern television production facility with performance spaces.
The complex opened in 1987 when GMA Network converted a former cinema into a modern broadcasting facility with 700 seats. It subsequently served as a production center for numerous television and entertainment programs.
The Eastside Theater was the home of the longest-running Philippine television show, which entertained audiences with comedy and games for decades. This space became synonymous with a particular style of local entertainment that shaped how many people spent their afternoons.
The site has been inactive since 2018 and is not currently open to visitors. Access to the grounds may be restricted, so it is best to view the building from the street or verify its status before planning a visit.
The building hosted productions from multiple television networks, not just one, making it a shared production hub for the local media industry. This diversity of users made it an important facility in Manila's broadcasting landscape.
