Barragem de Santa Clara

Barragem de Santa Clara is an earth-fill dam that stretches 428 meters across a valley and creates a large reservoir. The structure provides water storage for the Odemira region while supporting agricultural use through an extensive canal system.

The dam was built during the 1960s as part of Portugal's infrastructure development and began operations in 1969. Its construction supported the modernization of water management systems in the southern region.
