Santo Tirso Monastery, Benedictine monastery from 978 in Santo Tirso, Portugal.

The monastery features a Latin cross layout with a single nave church, twin towers topped by pyramidal domes, and a cloister with semicircular arches.

The monastery originated in 978 through Unisco Godins and became one of Portugal's richest institutions after receiving land grants from Soeiro Mendes da Maia in 1098.

The church interior contains polychrome statues, gilt-wood altars, and side chapels, while the cloister surrounds a garden with a central fountain.

Sections of the monastery now function as municipal offices, including the Town Hall and Court, while the church remains open for religious services.

An iron railing within the church marks the historical separation between monks in the chancel and the general congregation during religious ceremonies.
