Anta do Senhor da Serra, Neolithic dolmen in Queluz e Belas, Portugal.

Anta do Senhor da Serra is a Neolithic stone structure with a polygonal burial chamber measuring about 3.6 meters across and an 8-meter corridor leading to it. Multiple people were laid to rest inside this carefully built chamber, and the monument remains standing after thousands of years.

This site was built in the late Neolithic period when early people of the region created burial places for their communities. In the 1800s, an archaeologist examined the structure and found the remains of around 80 individuals who had been buried there.

This burial site served as a significant place where local communities honored their dead and left behind tools and vessels that tell stories of daily life. The careful arrangement of graves suggests that burying the dead was a deeply important social and spiritual practice for the people who lived here.

The site is located in a quiet area and can be reached if you know the exact location or get directions from local guides. Visitors should treat this place with respect and keep in mind its archaeological importance, as it is a protected monument that requires careful attention.

This structure is part of a larger group of similar tombs in the area, all built from limestone blocks and preserved since Neolithic times. This cluster of monuments makes the region a rare example of how early people organized their burial traditions and demonstrated their building skills.
