Poça beach

Poça beach is a coastal area in São João do Estoril featuring sandy stretches mixed with rock outcrops that define the shoreline. A wide promenade runs alongside, linking this spot to nearby train stations and forming a connected waterfront space.

The area is marked by the Forte de São Teodósio da Cadaveira, built in the 17th century to protect the entrance to the Tejo River. The fortress remains visible today, standing above the beach as a reminder of this defensive period.
