Sturdza Palace, Neo-Gothic castle in Miclăușeni, Romania

The Sturdza Palace exhibits Gothic Revival architecture with a symmetrical facade, pointed arches, decorative spires, and stone carvings across its exterior walls.

Built between 1880 and 1904 by George Sturza and Maria Ghica, the palace replaced an earlier mansion dating from the 17th century.

The palace contained a library of 60,000 volumes, medieval weapons, costumes, and art collections before Russian forces damaged the collections.

The palace stands 65 kilometers from Iași and 20 kilometers from Roman, with guided tours available through the Metropolitan Church of Moldavia.

The surrounding English-style park spans 40 hectares and contains numerous rare tree species planted during the 19th century.
