Ravna Gora

Ravna Gora is a mountain formation in the Valjevo region with several peaks and limestone structures that reach 950 meters in elevation. The massif spans a considerable area with varied slopes and diverse terrain throughout.

The mountain became a focal point in 1941 when military leaders established a resistance center there during wartime. This event left a lasting mark on the region's history and collective memory.

The mountain serves as a place where local people maintain their traditional way of life and connection to the land. Walking through the area, you notice how farming practices and pastoral activities remain central to daily life here.

Multiple marked trails lead to the summit from different starting points, with the main route beginning near the town of Valjevo. Difficulty varies depending on which path you choose, so select a trail that matches your fitness level.

The northern section features sharp cliff edges with dramatic drops, while the southern slopes hide several cave systems. These underground spaces remain largely unexplored, lending the mountain an air of mystery.
