Zazerkalie Children's Musical Theatre

Zazerkalie is a musical theatre for children in Saint Petersburg with multiple performance spaces located on Rubinstein Street. The building contains specially designed stages where regular shows take place for young audiences.

The theatre was founded in 1987 and drew inspiration from Lewis Carroll's Through the Looking Glass. The first production was an opera called Bravo-Bravissimo composed by L.A. Desyatnikov.

The theatre takes its name from Carroll's classic novel and reflects this connection in its artistic direction. The stages come alive with young performers working on different types of productions throughout the year.

Visitors can purchase tickets online or at the box office, with shows scheduled regularly throughout the year. School groups and larger groups of visitors can request special arrangements for their visits.

An experimental studio established in 1992 trains young performers in acting, choreography, and vocal technique. Productions including Love Potion and Kashtanka have received major theatre awards.
